For what reason?

I noticed when Googling there was a Finnish website about the village, so there could be a few Finns living there!

I had a quick google myself...noticed a place called "the deaf stones" near by.

I've never heard of this place before, it looks v.cool. Definitely adding this to the road trip bucket list, if I am ever in the area.

Or maybe one Finn? :-)

The pages are only from a few years ago, but already this bit seems like ancient history:

"a) A renovated house + garden + some outbuilding(s) => about 5.000 - 7.000 €uros"

Yes, I raised an eyebrow at the prices he stated, too. A big change from 2019. Though I wonder if the writer's idea of "renovated" was something more basic, as I would have been surprised even then for what a Brit would consider a fully renovated village house to sell for that price. When we visited VT in 2018 or 2019, a Brit who'd lived there since before Bg joined the EU told us prices had risen and we should expect to spend at least 20,000 GBP to own a renovated village house in the region, whether bought already done or buying unrenovated and getting the work done.

I read a few pages on the Finnish guy's site, and he seemed to suggest he wasn't the only Finn there, as well as encouraging more retirees to move to benefit from the far lower cost-of-living. The pay-monthly house that was for sale in the village this week on ebay (now marked as sold!) was formerly owned by a Finn, and the listing states the other local °µÍø½ûÇøs include Finns. So that house possibly doesn't have the only sauna in the village!

No doubt the buyer will be off on a new Bulgarian adventure soon!
