Internet speed

cdw057

In any case where I live Internet is quite fine (with my provider anyhow), right now we have a speed of 100 MB (not too bad and quite stable), but they offer also 1000 MB (which we subscribed to) for this upcoming year. |the price of TRY 10.000 per year is not too bad (In Western Europe it is much more expensive).

We will see how things go, also with the speed for WIFI (Netflix, Mobile,...)

Internet is important in life nowadays.

Please note there are many providers which promise much, but do not deliver.

Anyhow I am quite happy (even with 100 MB)

Hello, it seems to be a bit cheaper than UK.

We do not forget that some pensioners in Europe move to other countries like Turkey because their pension would not provide them a comfortable living in Europe. So, the way things getting more expensive in turkey, some pensioners need to think twice before retiring in Turkey.

10,000 TL is very cheap compared to my service in Minneapolis.  I have 1G (1000 MB) fiber optic ISP and the annual cost is $900 or converted at today's rate 31,850TL.  Most services are much higher here than in °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð.

Another example would be the cost of cell phone plans.  For 3 phones with unlimited text and data, I pay $129.50 or $43.33/phone.  I'm guessing the cost in °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð would be roughly a third of that.

Going even further, looking at cost of living data on the Numbeo website, it shows roughly that monthly expenditures of $6,300 in Minneapolis equates to needing only $2,640 to maintain an equivalent lifestyle in Eskisehir (my next hometown).  Despite the decreases in spending power because of inflation, it's still cheaper for an °µÍø½ûÇø in °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð.  As to the cost of living relative to other countries, I have not researched this but because of the benefits of having a much better quality of life in °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð, I will become an °µÍø½ûÇø in °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð.

Cost is important, but quality of life perhaps even more. A message for possible °µÍø½ûÇøs in general, you need some income/capital to live comfortably (even if not smoking, drinking, visiting restaurants if we do)

I feel safe outside and appreciated by locals (perhaps we spend something (or even more than that). Just walking on our short street I (or we) are invited for a tea and cigarette. (really a short street, a few hairdressers (they have difficult times), alcohol shop (I think by far am the best client around), the restaurants know us and they know what we want (too much though) I am wondering how many of those are getting broke (they can not live on me and my wife), 15 restaurants or so, we visit only 7 . Though prices are going up quite rapidly.

Very big pluses (especially for my wife as I can hardly walk), times are for walking by the way

-Beach (clean and well maintained) 240 m

-Market 20 minutes walk (my wife will go shortly)

-A101 (1 minute),SOK, BIM within 4 minutes

-MMM 7 minutes

-Hairdressers and alcohol/cigarette shop 3 minutes

-Our restaurants are close (not so for me as 500m is already a marathon)

-Home deliveries (in case of rain)

-Loads of pharmacies

-Butcher close by

-Convenience store (washing machine, dish washer, ...) just across the street

-Dentist 1 minute away

-Hospital however with taxi

-Looking at the sea from terrace

-Quiet neighbours !!

All in all quite good, even if village life (Hungary( has it pluses as well!

-What I really hate is that penthouses tend to be Duplex (for me a horror)

Greetings,

This is the website we utilize when aiding our clients in procuring a property. It allows us to verify the internet infrastructure in the designated area. The site is authoritative and delineates the maximum internet speed attainable in the vicinity, as per various ISPs. The database is interconnected with governmental resources, although many ISPs integrate it into their systems. For instance:

Thank you for providing the resource for determining the available type of internet and the expected download and upload speeds. It is really helpful.  I have already purchased a flat in Eskisehir (But I haven't moved to Turkey yet) and punched in my address and it shows VDSL altyapınızın desteklediği hız 50 Mbps download and 15 Mbps'e Kadar Upload.  I don't know Turkish that well so I was using Google translate to understand the information.

I couldn't determine from the website because of my limited Turkish but do I have any options to increase the stated 50Mbps for a given cost?  50Mbps is quite slow.  My cellphone data provider here in the US (as well as all of the primary cell phone data companies) offers home internet using 5G data which varies between 133Mbps – 415Mbps depending on your location relative to the closest cell tower.  Is that offered in °Õü°ù°ì¾±²â±ð?

Thanks for your post.  It's really helpful.
