Harassment and illegal detention of Sri Lankan domestic workers

A woman I know came to Oman about two months ago as a domestic worker. The agency that brought her here first employed her and the trouble she caused resulted in a broken tooth. Since she could not speak Arabic or English, she was handed over to the agency again. She was not given proper food and suffered from menstrual bleeding for one and a half months, and she collapsed. Although the family members provided her with medical treatment, her condition was serious, so she was handed over to the agency again. The agency also forcibly took her mobile phone and locked her in a room. Often, these domestic workers are also beaten. The maid I am mentioning here has a very serious hemorrhoid disease, but she has not been given medical treatment. They are given a slice of bread with coffee in the morning, a spoonful of rice with vegetable broth in the afternoon, and a cup of coffee with a slice of bread at night, which is treated in a very cruel way. Since this is a basic human rights violation, which institution in Oman can complain about this? Which human rights institution can provide this information? I would be grateful if you could provide this information...

Her embassy and the police seem like good places to start, but I have no idea if the police will care.

In Oman unfortunately it is very common. You should try to approach international agencies for human rights, not the Oman authorities
