Hi there! I am a US citizen who has applied for a digital nomad visa to Portugal and curious about expected processing time. How long has it been, recently, for a digital nomad visa to be processed?

1. Initial Visa Application:

Expect a processing time of up to 60 calendar days from when the application reaches the Portuguese consulate in your country of citizenship or residency.

2. After Visa Approval and Arrival in Portugal:

You will need to apply for a residency permit once you arrive in Portugal. The processing time for the residency permit can take anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks after you submit your application to AIMA.

I don't know if your appointment with AIMA goes with your passport or not. If there's no link to the AIMA website or date and place of the appointment there, you'll have to make an appointment with AIMA by phone when you're in Portugal.
