It's hard to choose just one best thing, so here's three good things:

In Bergen, when the two week-long spring comes, the mountains suddenly erupt with colour and all around there are trees blossoming and flowers blooming after the long, hard, cold winter.

If you loose a glove (a common occurrence), then someone will usually put it at about eye-level on a near-by fence, making it look like your lost glove is waving at you.

Even though we have to pay for it through higher prices, everyone gets a decent, livable wage.

From Oslo, I would say the ability to do any kind of outside and sport activities while living in a capital city. Being 30 min from the wood where you can actually meet a wolf and the same to the fjord where you can do sea kayak or similar stuff. The safety, transparency and openness of the society. Also Norwegians in general.

I like Oslo in the summer. The long days, the nice weather, the view of the fjord... All very nice, especially since before living in Oslo I was used to it raining all the time. I also think the working conditions are very nice.

isn't this standard cold-weather-country practice? I lived in Vermont and Massachusetts and people did it there too.

As for what I like, I am liking that it's similar to Iceland culturally (uncomplicated life, good working conditions) but there are better connections to the rest of the world, more variety in terms of groceries & shops, and better weather. I like having something that resembles a summer.

No idea.Ìý I had never seen it before moving here.Ìý It happens in Norway, though, so it still counts ;)
