greenterreno

Hello,
I leave Rome in 3 weeks for Kenya.  Where can I buy a mosquito net and pills to prevent malaria and those to take if I contract malaria?  Thanks!:)

Not sure about the mosquito net, you could check Decathalon, which is a sporting shop so they might have it in their camping section. Although it isn't camping season so I don't know, but you could try. if all else fails, I'm sure you can find it on Amazon or E-bay and have it express shipped.

Malaria drugs you generally have to go through a doctor. My in-laws went to their doctor who gave them a prescription to get from the pharmacy when they went to India. You could try going directly to teh pharmacies and ask.

You can probably buy a mosquito net in Kenya when you arrive along with Gu cci sunglasses and Calvin Klein jeans. The world has gotten very small.

As for malaria drugs, the side effects outweighed taking them when I camped in Africa (climbed Kilimanjaro in Tanzania). The drugs cause nightmares the likes of which you will never forget! After two days, I tossed them.

Cool! When you type in Gu cci sunglasses, 'I am a stupid spammer' replaces the designer' s name.
