Could we could get married in Belgium with a tourist visa?

Remonanaliza

I have a Belgian partner. We've been together for  4 years, he has come multiple times in my home country (Philippines) and we've also had multiple businesses that failed to succeed, hence he decided to return to Belgium. Could we could get married in Belgium with a tourist visa? Or what is the easiest, simplest and fastest way for us to get married in Belgium and for me to be able to go to Belgium so we won't have to face the struggles of a long distance relationship (LDR), because if we opt to process a fiancé visa, it would take too long and I would really like to be with him ASAP. We have proofs and evidences that we have been together for 4 years.

Yes you can. However one of your residence should be registered in BE. Good luck.

As your partner is Belgian, he must have an official address in Belgium and yes you can marry on tourist or even on illegal stay. This is based on the fundamental rights of freedom to marry whomever you like regardless of status.

Whether you will obtain a residence permit this depends on your husband's ability to support you financially. So this typically needs him to have an above average salary, so a steady income.

Think, you have to live 3 month in belgium to get the right to marry (wihtout that admnistration could say no, and 3 month is a time of legal journey, mean you ll be like illégal after that)

Then, if you ask to marry at  your town's partner, admnistration will contact foreign office and investigate on you et your partners, they are also the one who decide if you can stay or not in BE.

Asking for long term visa Before  coming ( visa D) avoid that part with foreign office  (at least when you arrive in belgium)

if you partners get back recently in belgium, hope  he find a stable work/incoming. that's one of the condition.. now if you have kids toghetter and partner as recognize as father, can be help
