I haven't seen houses but there is a fairly new, and very nice, rest area enroute from Punta Cana to the Capital  on the Coral Highway. It's completely made of containers. The name of it is Food Park Bellamar. I was actually pretty impressed the first time I stopped there. It's like a container park with a little convenience store in one, a restaurant in another, very nice/clean bathrooms in others, offices have separate containers and there is even one that has an outdoor staircase that leads up to a rooftop patio where you can sit and eat. They are all air conditioned. In the center of all the containers is a really nice seating area with picnic tables and umbrellas.  It's right off the highway near La Romana.

I have no idea who developed it but if you're in the DR and you're interested, it may be a place to start and perhaps they can provide some insight?

We have a restaurant here in LT that has its entire back-of-house area in containers. The seating is outdoors, though.

YES - it is happening here!!  My husband is about to do some work at a project where they are going to build an entire house out of containers with solar panels (he showed me the drawings...looks pretty cool).  @Dewayne Stevens I sent you PM with more info.
