Tucuma, Para

palavradeu

I've been living in Tucuma now for three months and am headed back to the USA for a visit next week. Missing some great things such as cheesecake, McDonalds (believe it or not) and a decent internet connection (though I'm negotiating a workable one at the moment). Anyone out there in Para? I'd traveled to Porto Alegre before coming here, but as we say in Portuguese "tem nada ver"-- no comparison whatsoever. Think Wild wild west. I'm hungry for city life, but will make do with some °µÍø½ûÇø hints.

Primarily, what's a good phone to take back and forth? Obviously because I'm living in two countries at once, pre-paid is preferred. I had an iPhone 4, but we had trouble unblocking it. Now that I'm a little more familiar with the territory, I'd like to see/ know if it's possible to work that same iPhone on a dual-country/pre-paid level?
