Here some elements to consider:

How to choose your mobile operator in the USA?

What documents are required to subscribe to a mobile plan in the USA?

What criteria should you consider when choosing a plan matching your needs?

Are e-sim cards a suitable option for °µÍø½ûÇøs? What are the conditions?

What are your local tips for saving money on your mobile plan, especially for international calls (apps, operators, etc.) or mobile data?

Feel free to share your experiences and advice to choose your mobile plan as an °µÍø½ûÇø in the USA.

I personally use Google FI Wireless as phone provider in the US.

Google FI Wireless allows for the same fair rate abroad as in the US.

Calls to home countries from within the US are also cheap.

On Google phones, like the Pixel-line, it automatically logs in to many available WiFi-Networks worldwide which reduces mobile data and is a free feature.

An additional advantage is that Google FI uses more than just one network in the US. Mainly T-Mobile is used.

The service can be turned on and off on a daily basis by the customer via the Google FI APP.

Google Fi is a service for US residents only, as of late 2023.

As of lately the new provider Tello Mobile seems an even cheaper service provider. But as of now I have no experience with their service.
