high schools in Mexico (not Mexico City)

juleslarosa

Hi all,
I might live in Mexico for a few months, I want my teenage girl to go to school there, she'll be in 10th grade, any suggestions for good schools to look into? We live in New York City.

Thanks, I'm new to this group.

Take a look at Queretaro. It is a large colonial city with an airport in central Mexico. It is charming and has a couple of good schools including JFK in the suburbs. Also, Guanajuato is a wonderful small city with a great university that is responsible for lots of art and culture, lovely cobblestone streets, well priced, airport nearby in Leon, and several schools.
I taught in San Miguel de Allende a few years ago & loved life there. Now San Miguel has another strong bilingual school, International Academy - that seems to be doing well. I don't know if they have 10th grade but it will come up in a google search.
I wish I had taken my kids to live & learn in Mexico!

Thanks very much, Kate-48. I'll look into those schools and cities/towns you mentioned. Very helpful...
