Relocation help

gholroyd51

We plan to soon be retiring in Canada from the US.  Who is good to use for help and assistance in relocating, filing cross border taxes, and applying for permanent residency?

It might help if you specified the area you wanted to relocate to...I believe somewhere in Nova Scotia? (From another post.) Your current tax specialist should be able to take of your US taxes. Canadian taxes are easy to file, we've almost always filed our own. The government of Canada has a very useful website with the information you might need to start the permanent residency process. ) As I understand it, the process is fairly straight forward and you should be able to manage it yourself, especially since your documents won't need translating etc. Keep in mind that there are likely travel restriction during the PR application process.
