Are ADVETI and IAT the same

Hi Everyone,

I have been offered a job with IAT (Institute of Applied Technology) in the UAE.聽 I'm trying to get insight into what other teachers have experienced while working with them, but I am struggling to find any forums or blogs.聽 However, I am finding a lot more about ADVETI.聽 They aren't the same schools, right?

As far as I understand it ADVETI and IAT are separate but both under the umbrella of ACTVET, which 'oversees' them both. Both are licensed by the Government. Please be aware that, in effect,聽 you would be regarded as a government employee and, as such, you will not enjoy the same rights and protection of UAE Labour Laws that employees of private companies enjoy. You can check this out with the Ministry of Labour.
