Where to live and find a school (moving from Scotland to Stockholm)

Hello.

I am hoping to move from Scotland to Stockholm to study for a PhD in the autumn with my 10 year old son, 2 cats and a dog. The university is in Huddinge so I'm wondering if we'd be best living around this area (Is it cheaper than central Stockholm? Are there English-speaking schools?). PhDs are salaried but I don't think I'll be particularly wealthy as Sweden is expensive! Therefore, I doubt I can afford a fee-paying school.

Just wondered how you got on with your school search... Originally from London and looking for a school for my 5 year old.

We live in Huddinge too
