Residence permit for students

Hello,

I am an Erasmus student in Cluj-Napoca currently. However, my Erasmus ends in February because my home university did not let me extend it. My plan is to stay here studying from my home university online. I already know that as a EU citizen I get a permit of 3 months and before that ends I have to go to the immigration office. My questions are: Do you know whether my residence permit as a student ends when my Erasmus or do I get 1 year of permit regardless the duration of my studies? And, in case the duration of my permit ended with my Erasmus do you know if I leave the country for, let's say, a week I get those 3 months again?
