Brining a iaito (Japanese sword) to Norway

Hi guys,

I鈥檓 an Australian, about to move to Oslo. I practice Iaido (a Japanese marial art) which requires a Iaito (a blunt form of a Japanese katana).

I am wondering if there is an issue brining this item into the country.
I will be using it for training (I.e. personal use)

I聽 suggest you contact the nearest Norwegian Embassy for up to date information. I did a Google search and the is information there too. Seems you may need a licence to import it.
