customs and duty moving back to US

My family and I are currently in Amsterdam. We plan to move back to the US next year. Does anyone have experience with customs and duty moving back with items purchased in Netherlands (eBikes, etc). The Netherlands made it super easy to move "house-hold items", including a car. My hope is that the US has the same processes.

We moved part of a container back to the US from the Netherlands many years ago.聽 I don't remember any details but we went with a shipping company.聽 They will give you one price that includes getting your items through customs and taxes.聽 Check on the eBikes though.聽 We live in Brazil now and you can not ship eBikes from the US to Brazil.
