Steps to take when taking a sabbatical & retaining your 30% ruling

ma0sm

Hi,

I'm looking to take a sabbatical from my job in The Netherlands, and from what I can find out online, it seems that 3 months is the maximum I could possibly take without invalidating my 30% ruling. I was keen to know if this is true, and if so, is there something specific that needs to be done to ensure that it seamlessly carries on after I return. I work for a small company who have made mistakes with this sort of thing in the past, so I want to understand myself what is important to ensure that it happens.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

The only relevant thing I can recall is that if you take the sabbatical, it may bring your annual salary below the limit to qualify for 30%,

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for highlighting that point, I hadn't considered that!
