Good Day

My ex-wife is planning to move to Terneuzen with our children, who are 15 and 13 years old.

I am looking to gain as much information about Terneuzen as possible so that I can make informed decisions.

Is there anyone who has relocated and or is in the same situation I can talk to?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

I've never lived in Terneuzen, but it seems to have developed a reputation without any solid facts to back it up.聽 Most people who go there to work are either working directly for Dow Chemicals, or one of the companies that have sprung up to support them.聽 Apart from that, it is a town with circa 55,000 occupants, with a hospital, schools and shops, basically all the things you would expect to find there.聽 Education wise, kids get streamed based on ability when they are 16, education is in Dutch language; this will tell you more about it.聽 Your profile tells me you're a South African; assuming your kids speak Afrikaans, they won't have much trouble learning Dutch, although they may get some teasing because of their accent.
