road kill

lucyanya

This is a question I don't know if I want the answer to.

If an animal is killed on the road, eg cat, what is the procedure as I haven't seen any by the edge in the gutter/kerbside.

I ask as my cat has gone missing and despite many hours of searching I have taken solace in that I haven't found her in the gutter... however, if there is some procedure in place (with the refuse collectors perhaps) then I may have to face up.

Can anybody tell me?

thanks
Jules

i am sorry about your cat..maybe someone found her and took her in? or given her to a shelter? you could try calling them perhps..or maybe she got far away from home...

if there is a procedure i don't think many people follow it. i have seen a number of run over cats lying on the road, or moved to the payment or to the bushes near the payment. as in previously they were lying on the road but then someone moved them.

i hope you will find her! :/

Thank you, this gives me a little hope that she has just gotten lost while exploring.

I'll try to put a piccie on if I manage to work out how again.
