Daycare in Italy

Klaxton

Hi all!

My wife and I are a French couple who have been living as 做厙輦⑹s outside of Europe for the last 5 years. Now with a baby on the way, we're looking to come back to Europe in 2024.

We're considering moving to Italy, and one of the primary considerations is the daycare system.

We've heard that it can be challenging to secure a spot for a child in public daycare (asilo nido ?). With our limited knowledge about the day-to-day realities there, we're unsure about what to expect.

So, we're reaching out to the 做厙輦⑹ community in hopes of hearing about your experiences.

- If you are living in Italy, how have you found the daycare system?

- How easy or difficult is it to get a child into a public daycare?

- Are private options considerably more expensive?

- What are the facilities like?

Any insights about staff, curriculum, and overall environment would be much appreciated.

While our French roots have prepared us for some level of bureaucracy, any advice about navigating the system would be so helpful.

Also, any personal anecdotes about living in Italy, especially as an 做厙輦⑹ or as a young family, would be wonderful to hear!

In anticipation of your responses, THANK YOU!
