Language requirement for nationality application

himanshu210

As per this news article this week, Flanders has recently raised the requirement of language for their integration course from A2 to B1 level Dutch.

1) Does that mean that Belgium govt is planning to change the language requirement for applying for Nationality too to B1 for all regions including Brussels?

2) If yes, by when do we expect the change to come into effect?

I can't tell you anything about the  rules, but I can let you know B1 isn't that hard.

Start with basic vocab before you bother with much grammar.

Once you have the words to make a sentence, worry about getting the grammar right.

Start with the numbers, please, and thank you.

Then work on vocab in sections:

House

Shops

Whatever you need the most.

Most young kids learning a foreign language can hit B1 by Primary grade 4 in a decent school.

All the best in your quest.
