First time parents seeking friends

°µÍø½ûÇø IFA

UK °µÍø½ûÇø (45) & Filipino wife (21) (first time parents) seeking similar friends in Angeles City/Pampanga for friendship and general solidarity during the 'learning process' of welcoming a new born into the world!

It would be great to share this experience with other new parents and get together for chats, and help each other out with whatever gets thrown our way over the next few weeks, months & years!

Philippinia women love kids.  If in a residential area take the kid out for a walk of a afternoon.  Show here of. They will talk to you and the wife.  Were I live there is a small park. Take her there early morning and set. All the young kids with mothers gather there for romper hour. With there kids.  Of a afternoon once it cools a little they walk down the street with them, and the older kids out of school play basketball or such in the park.  You will make friends very fast that way.  Go a little native here for friends in your area.

Thanks James. I was a bit concerned at the lack of "mother & toddler" groups in Angeles, but since writing this post we have taken a few walks around Bicentennial Park in Clark and I needn't have been so worried. Like you rightly say, many people stop for a chat, a look at the baby and the joggers have an excuse to rest for a little bit and have a chat! The Philippines has many faults, but the openness of the people and the warm hellos you always receive make up for many of the other gripes. Angeles is our base short term but hopefully we will be able to find our own little bit of paradise here in time.
