Spousal visa processing time

wrevans02

Anyone filed a CR1 spousal visa lately to America?  How long did it take to process?  Online info is all over the place with estimate processing times with saying Philippines spousal visa will take longer to process.  Trying to get an estimate based on reality rather than assumptions from online sources.  Appreciate any feedback.

Saw a couple two years ago, their spousal visa took 3 years.  Cannot imagine current administration gonna be any faster.  She had worked overseas for more than 2 years, so there was that extra paperwork, but in my case 31 years ago that only added two more months.

I hope it doesn't take that long.  I have lived here long enough and I ready to go already.  Thought I was only going to stay here another year at most.  May just move to central America temporarily and fly back to Philippines for the interview if it is going to take that long.

A note of caution Wrevan. Taking a Filipina out of her homeland to the States is akin to taking an animal out of its native habitat and keeping it as a pet. They soon discover that on arrival in their adopted country there are other options available to them. Many Filipinas like cats are opportunists and tend to stray..

wrevans02 . . . . Lotus Eater has given you good advice: a note of caution Wrevan. Oh Filipina,

You've painted up your lips and curled your tinted hair

Oh Filipina, are you contemplating going out somewhere?

The shadow on the wall tells me the sun is going down.

Oh Filipina, don't take your love to town.

Once the cat is out of the bag there is no turning around.

Agreed - Maybe there should be a 6 month quarantine period when they arrive.
