Rending a room/sharing a flat in Kolkata?

Hi, I'm a 27 yo female from the US, working with a nonprofit that operates near Kalighat / Gariahat from mid-October until the end of December. Any information on 1) whether it would be possible to rent a room, 2) anyone who has a flat who is looking to share would be VERY much appreciated! Thanks.
