Marrying in Tunisia

I am from uk, wanting to marry my partner of 5 years who is from Tunisia, if I fill the paperwork out ok the embassy website and pay online, which papers do I need to bring with me to Tunisia? And will they need to be translated from English to Arabic can anyone who has been through this situation message me please as I have been trying to get this done for 2 years now, thanks

Hi Emily,


Will you be getting married in Tunisia? If so, I suggest contacting the UK embassy in Tunisia, you can get your partner to find out their contact details in Tunisia and send them an email. I know you will need a letter of no impediment proving that you are single, this letter will have to come from the UK and you will need an Apostille stamp as well.

Hi where do I need to get it stamped from do you know? I have emailed embassy no reply my partner has tried to call numerous times too and no one answers the phone I will be getting married in Tunisia  x

If you are planning to get married in Tunisia you have to travel with a paper from your government proof that you are single
