Shaw7mick

does anyone on here have any advice or info that can help me in the process of the spouse visa, my wife is from Morocco and we’re trying to start the process to bring her to the UK. Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated!

Straightaway you will. Need to earn at least £32.000 a year, then they'll be a few thousand pounds for NHS cover up to £5.000, then there's other government payments, the Visa can be thousands to, so look carefully into everything beforehand.

I'm unemployed and going through the same thing, it's a nightmare financially

I’ve seen the requirements and the funds needed to apply, it’s actually ridiculous, I just need to find out if it’s better to apply in Morocco or here in the UK.

I was told it's better here, but I'm not sure, I'm going to Morocco this weekend and seeing what's best.

The prices to bring loved ones here is just damned right extortionate.

This might not be welcome as it's a shade extreme, but be with her anywhere except the UK.

I left the social rubbish dump that England has become a lot of years ago, and I have zero interest in going back to that open sewer.

The UK is stupidly expensive because a series of moronic governments have mismanaged the country into a mess.

Add the massive issues caused by weak minded fools being supplied with drugs by killer dealers, and I can't think of a reason to go back.

My advice is simple, live with your lady in a civilised country. It wasn't until I started taking holidays in Asia that I realised how crap England was.

You too can experience real living instead of existing bill to bill in a drug dealer infested toilet.

However, I miss fish and chips with mushy peas, and easy to find, delicious Indian food.

It’s crazy prices for the family visa, you also have the option to pay £1000 extra to get an immediate response from the home office lol just another money making scheme for them I think.

100% totally agree

She is not in UK so she has to apply from "outside uk" but really the application is online anyway and she just needs to go to Rabat BLS visa centre to do her biometrics(face and thumb).

But yeah the cost can get steep as others mentioned and you have to pay extra to get appointment in BLS. Its a headache tbh.

These are actual fees:

£1,846 outside the UK

£1,258 inside, plus an Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) of £1,035 per year for NHS access, with a 30-month visa requiring a total IHS payment of around £2,587.50.

29,000 salary.

If you use an immigration solicitor  it's usually between £750-£1500.

Hope this helps.
