ATM daily withdrawal limits for foreign Visa debit card

g3xaq

I have a Visa debit card issued by my bank in England. I've googled ATM Ghana daily withdrawal limits and seen results varying between "200-400 GHS" and "2,000 GHS". I will be staying a little bit outside Accra, at Aburi, which has two ATMs nearby. What is the likely withdrawal limit per transaction? How many transactions am I allowed each day? How are charges calculated? (in Gambia it is international bank rate with a 2.99% on-sterling transaction fee).

Thanks very much.

I think it depends on your bank. I am with Standard Chartered and I can withdraw multiples of up to 4000 cedis provided there is cash in the ATM but that is from my Ghanaian cedi account. I think I have seen someone mention they can get 3000 cedis a day from their foreign account.

Thanks, that is encouraging. 3000 a day will be more than enough for me.
