Egypt

Julien

Hi,

we've got a new member in Egypt, I have to add the country in the directory, but I don't know if Egypt is part of the Middle East or of Africa... What do you think?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Julien

Geographically - Africa; but geo-politically - Middle East so I'd probably go with Middle East. Maybe you could ask him/her?

By the way we Caribbean bloggers are not that happy with being on the Central America listing in the directory (gentle reminder). :)

Julien

Ooops sorry Chiri I have to many things to remember. Thanks for the reminder!

The blogger selected Africa

Ayten Mehaya

I go with Chiri "Geographically - Africa; but geo-politically - Middle East"

amarakl

i think it middle east, north africa is completely different than africa

FeeAcer

Sorry Guys, but I still think that most part of Egypt is on the African continent and should remain in Africa classification on the website. :)

This is a very interesting issue with valid points being made.Egypt is in a very unique position and Possibly warrants a dual listing as a simple solution which i honestly suspect would be the correct action to take based on global concepts and perceptions.

alimirza

well I think geologically its Africa not ME,

suzana

Julien, I am Adam from Egypt. Egypt is a part of Africa not Middle East.

I`d like to say some notes for you dude, when didn`t you allow the blog mailing system to date the message received and sent?. When I receive or sent a message I can not know when it is sent or received .Hope you change it. Thanks

Julien

are you sure ?

you should have a look to the sent folder for example and you'll see all the dates ;)

cma301

Oh you are right Julien, Thanks. I am so interested to run a personal bog hosted by Blogspot.com to make some money online using Google AdSense, can you give me advice dude?

backtothesuture

middle east for sure , cause egypt has politically stripped herself off africa...

valibilic

Both are correct!

Boby moon

Middle East a newly known term to indicate a spot that combines North Africa with western Asia , it is like saying the area on my right side as (Far East) is the zone next to the Middle east.....:), I like being under a continent, it is more realistic as it matches natural geographic aspects that cannot be changed.

valibilic

By the way! With Turkey it is the same problem: belongs to two regions Europe and Middle East!
How have you solved with Turkey, where " it is" in our site?

hzahran

i think alos both of them are right

umselma

Well I wouldn't agree to put Egypt to middle east based on that, becuse all of north Africa speaks arabic, have almost the same culture and history heritage....

Never knew before Egypt would belong to the Middle east, so I'm happy to find it under Africa :)

amarakl

Middle
East

the only °µÍø½ûÇøblog go with the geologically !!

amarakl

yes both r correct as Egypt lay In Africa.
Also belongs to the middle east countries

semsema135

Well, Egypt has strategic place, It is located in North east of Africa and it is located in the heart of the Arab World, both of them r right, it is very interesting issue by the way
